For people with long-term illness or for people who cannot cope with their illness, I designed a roof park for the psychology department on top of the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. It has become a hiking park. During a walk alone or with your psychologist you can focus more and experience other stimulus’s. The combination “on top of a building”, “view” and “in nature” contributes to it.
The park is designed in the form of a leaf inspired from the psychology symbol Psi. The roof park is perfectly visible to the patients from the hospital. The design inspires people to go there.
